Last week WordPress 4.0 had an official launch with exclusively three new features – embedded content previews, automatically expanding editor, and new plugin installer. This adds up a smooth writing and management experience with the blog management tool. On April, WordPress 3.9 released and with the latest version making it quite fast on the table with the 4.0 release, and yet not even half a year later.


As per Automattic CEO Matt Mullenweg,” 4.0 is just another number for us after 3.9 and before 4.1 but he says the teams feel it has “put a little extra polish into it.”

Latest Features of WordPress.org 4.0

Now you can also embed videos from CollegeHumor, YouTube, and talks from TED.
  • Content Specific – Writing and editing was never so smooth and immersive before. Now your editor can expand to fit the content as your write them and keeps the formatting tool available all the times.
  • Right Plugin – You can get access to more than 30,000 free and open source plugins at WordPress Plugin directory. With the latest update WordPress 4.0 makes it easier to find the right one that have new metrics, improved search and more visual browsing experience.
